Scripture Readings: Psalms 31, 61, 91, 121, 151; Proverbs 31
Daily Prayer: Spirit of the Living God,
On this final day of reflection, I come before You with a heart open to the teachings of Your holy scriptures. Let these words build me up, provide me counsel, and lead me closer to You.
In Psalm 31, I take refuge in You, Lord. Let me never be put to shame; deliver me in Your righteousness. Turn Your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.
Through Psalm 61, hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to You, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
From Psalm 91, whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
In Psalm 121, I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—He who watches over you will not slumber.
Psalm 151, I praise You, Lord, for Your great works; I sing of Your might and Your mercy. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life. You stretch out Your hand against the anger of my foes; with Your right hand, You save me.
From Proverbs 31, speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
Spirit of the Living God, as I reflect on the wisdom and protection offered in these verses, strengthen my faith and resolve to live a life that honors You, full of grace and truth.
In Your mighty and gracious name, I pray, Amen.
