Scripture Readings: Psalms 11, 41, 71, 101, 131; Proverbs 11
Daily Prayer: Spirit of the Living God,
As I engage with the holy scriptures today, guide me in understanding and living out the truths they hold. Let Your Word be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
In Psalm 11, I trust in You, Lord, for You are righteous and love justice; the upright will see Your face. Let me live in awareness of Your presence, striving always to walk in uprightness.
Through Psalm 41, blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble. Lord, sustain me and restore me when I am laid low, that I may repay my enemies.
From Psalm 71, I have taken refuge in You since my youth, O God. Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone. You are my rock and my fortress.
In Psalm 101, I will sing of Your love and justice; to You, Lord, I will sing praise. I will be careful to lead a blameless life—when will You come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart.
Psalm 131, O Lord, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty. I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. I have calmed and quieted myself, like a weaned child with its mother.
From Proverbs 11, I learn that integrity guides the upright, but duplicity destroys the treacherous. Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.
Spirit of the Living God, instill in me the wisdom and humility found in these scriptures. Let them guide my actions and attitudes, creating in me a heart that reflects Your love.
In Your holy and righteous name, I pray, Amen.
