Scripture Readings: Psalms 7, 37, 67, 97, 127; Proverbs 7
Daily Prayer: Spirit of the Living God,
As I engage with Your Word on this day, I seek Your face and Your truth to guide me through life’s complexities. Let these scriptures mold my character and decisions.
In Psalm 7, I take refuge in You, my shield against the arrows of the day. Save and deliver me from all who pursue me, lest they tear my soul apart like a lion and drag me away with no one to rescue.
Through Psalm 37, I am reminded not to fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Help me trust in You and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
From Psalm 67, may Your face shine upon us, so that Your ways may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations. Let the peoples praise You, God; let all the peoples praise You.
In Psalm 97, You reign, Lord, and the earth rejoices; let the many coastlands be glad. Clouds and thick darkness surround You; righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne.
Psalm 127 teaches that unless You build the house, the builders labor in vain. Watch over our city, and keep us safe as we sleep. Bless the fruit of our labor, for children are a heritage from You, a reward from on high.
From Proverbs 7, I learn to guard my heart and my path against seduction and deception. Keep Your words in my heart and let wisdom and understanding preserve me.
Spirit of the Living God, weave these holy teachings into my life, that I may reflect Your love and truth wherever I go.
In Your gracious and eternal name, I pray, Amen.
