Friday Reflections: He Will Do It
“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will do it.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:24)
Some weeks carry a quiet weight to them—not heavy in a bad way, but in a holy way. This week has felt like that for me. I’ve been holding space to listen. Not just for direction, but for His presence. And I want to share something I’ve been sensing deep in my spirit, something I believe is for more than just me:
“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:24, NKJV)
Let those words breathe for a moment.
There’s something powerful about remembering that this whole thing didn’t start with us. The call on your life—it began with Him. And if He’s the one who called you, then He’s also the one who carries the responsibility to complete what He started. That truth has steadied me more than once this week.
Because honestly? Life doesn’t always line up the way we thought it would.
Maybe you’ve felt the ache of unanswered prayers. Maybe you’ve watched doors close that you were sure were supposed to open. Maybe you’re in a season where you’ve done everything right… and it still feels like nothing is moving.
I’ve been there.
But I’ve also heard the whisper of the Lord this week… a gentle, steady reminder:
“What the enemy meant for evil, I meant for good.”
(Genesis 50:20)
That phrase keeps coming back like a drumbeat. Over the chaos. Over the confusion. Over the parts of your story that still don’t make sense.
He’s not absent in the silence. He’s not late in the waiting.
He’s moving—with awesome precision.
And you may not see it yet, but Heaven is not confused about your assignment.
Sometimes the greatest breakthroughs begin in the places that feel most hidden. Buried things don’t stay buried forever. Not when God is the One who planted them.
So if today you feel weary, forgotten, or tempted to let go of what He promised… I just want to speak this gently to your heart:
You are not too late. You are not too much. You are not disqualified.
There is a scroll written over your life, and the One who authored it is still turning pages.
Don’t measure your worth by this moment. Don’t write yourself out of the story. Stay with Him. Trust the process. And let Him do the finishing.
Let’s Pray Together
Jesus, thank You that You are not overwhelmed by time, circumstance, or my feelings. You are faithful. You called me, and You will do it. I release the weight of trying to make things happen on my own. I yield to You again—my story, my dreams, my unknowns. Strengthen my heart, Lord. Remind me of what’s true. Let me see what You see.
Amen.
I pray this word meets you right where you are.
Above the sun, hope is alive. And Yahweh is still writing.
