Scripture Readings: Psalms 27, 57, 87, 117, 147; Proverbs 27
Daily Prayer: Spirit of the Living God,
As I turn to Your Word, strengthen my heart to trust in Your unfailing faithfulness. Guide me in living a life that reflects Your truth and compassion.
In Psalm 27, the Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
Through Psalm 57, have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in You I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed.
From Psalm 87, the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, city of God: “I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me—Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush—and will say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’”
In Psalm 117, praise the Lord, all you nations; extol Him, all you peoples. For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Psalm 147, praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him! He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
From Proverbs 27, do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; someone else, and not your own lips.
Spirit of the Living God, instill in me a deep trust in Your faithfulness and a commitment to live out Your commands. May I rely on Your strength and wisdom each day.
In Your faithful and loving name, I pray, Amen.
