Scripture Readings: Psalms 12, 42, 72, 102, 132; Proverbs 12
Daily Prayer: Spirit of the Living God,
Today, as I turn to Your Word, I ask for the wisdom and grace to understand and embody the truths it contains. May these scriptures inspire and challenge me to live a life pleasing to You.
In Psalm 12, help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race. Let me be counted among the faithful, someone who upholds integrity and truth.
Through Psalm 42, as the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
From Psalm 72, endow the king with Your justice, O God, the royal son with Your righteousness. May he defend the afflicted among the people and save the children of the needy; may he crush the oppressor.
In Psalm 102, hear my prayer, Lord; let my cry for help come to You. Do not hide Your face from me when I am in distress. When my days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.
Psalm 132, I remember O Lord, David’s hardship and his oath to the Lord, his vow to the Mighty One of Jacob: “I will not enter my house or go to my bed until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
From Proverbs 12, whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid. A good person obtains favor from the Lord, but the Lord condemns a crafty man.
Spirit of the Living God, let these sacred texts mold me and shape my day. Let them be a source of instruction, comfort, and inspiration as I seek to live out Your will.
In Your profound and loving name, I pray, Amen.
