Scripture Readings: Psalms 28, 58, 88, 118, 148; Proverbs 28
Daily Prayer: Spirit of the Living God,
As I engage with Your Word today, fill me with the joy of Your redemption and the peace that comes from Your salvation. Guide me to be an instrument of Your grace in the world.
In Psalm 28, to You, Lord, I call; You are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. Hear my cry for mercy as I call to You for help, as I lift up my hands toward Your Most Holy Place.
Through Psalm 58, do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge people with equity? No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth.
From Psalm 88, Lord, You are the God who saves me; day and night I cry out to You. May my prayer come before You; turn Your ear to my cry.
In Psalm 118, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. Let Israel say: “His love endures forever.” The Lord is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation.
Psalm 148, praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights above. Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.
From Proverbs 28, the wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion. When the righteous triumph, there is great elation; but when the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding.
Spirit of the Living God, may the messages of redemption and divine justice in these scriptures inspire me to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with You.
In Your redemptive and mighty name, I pray, Amen.
