Scripture Readings: Psalms 23, 53, 83, 113, 143; Proverbs 23
Daily Prayer: Spirit of the Living God,
Today, as I meditate on Your scriptures, fill my heart with the awareness of Your never-ending compassion and care. May I live each day confident in Your guidance and love.
In Psalm 23, the Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake.
Through Psalm 53, the fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good. God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
From Psalm 83, do not keep silent, O God; do not hold Your peace or be still, O God. For behold, Your enemies make an uproar; those who hate You have raised their heads.
In Psalm 113, praise the Lord. Praise, O servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord. Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore. From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
Psalm 143, hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my pleas for mercy! In Your faithfulness answer me, in Your righteousness. Enter not into judgment with Your servant, for no one living is righteous before You.
From Proverbs 23, do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.
Spirit of the Living God, teach me to rely on Your unfailing compassion and to walk in Your ways with confidence and trust. Let Your love and righteousness shape my every decision.
In Your holy and faithful name, I pray, Amen.
