Scripture Readings: Psalms 24, 54, 84, 114, 144; Proverbs 24
Daily Prayer: Spirit of the Living God,
As I seek Your face through the reading of Your Word, strengthen my faith and fortify my spirit. Let me be steadfast in my commitment to Your principles and eager to live in Your righteousness.
In Psalm 24, the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for He founded it on the seas and established it on the waters. Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart.
Through Psalm 54, save me, O God, by Your name; vindicate me by Your might. Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth. For strangers have risen against me, ruthless men seek my life—men without regard for God.
From Psalm 84, how lovely is Your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
In Psalm 114, when Israel came out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue, Judah became God’s sanctuary, Israel his dominion. The sea looked and fled, the Jordan turned back.
Psalm 144, blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.
From Proverbs 24, do not envy the wicked, do not desire their company; for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about making trouble.
Spirit of the Living God, let the teachings of these Psalms and Proverbs be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Guide me in upholding Your truth and justice, and keep my faith strong amidst the challenges of life.
In Your steadfast and eternal name, I pray, Amen.
