7-Day Blog Series
As we enter this New Year, let us boldly approach His throne of grace in repentance, aligning our hearts with His will and walking in the freedom He provides. Each day, we will dive into a specific theme of repentance and transformation, using Scripture to guide our journey.
Day 1: The Open Door to the Courtroom of Heaven
Theme: The torn veil—our access to the Father.
Scriptures:
- Matthew 27:51 (ESV) “And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.”
- Hebrews 10:19-20 (ESV) “Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh,”
Reflection:
The veil in the temple represented separation between humanity and God. When Jesus died, that veil was torn, symbolizing the removal of every barrier. We now have bold access to His throne of grace, not in fear but in faith. As we step into this new year, let us embrace this incredible privilege and approach Him with hearts open to repentance and renewal.
Devotional Thought:
Picture the moment Jesus died and the veil in the temple was torn from top to bottom. That dramatic event symbolizes our access to God through Christ. Reflect on how Jesus’ sacrifice has made a way for you to come boldly before the Father, free from barriers. Take a moment to thank Him for this incredible privilege.
Action Step: Spend time in prayer, imagining yourself stepping into God’s throne room. Thank Him for removing every obstacle between you and His Presence.
Prayer:
“Father, thank You for tearing the veil through Jesus’ sacrifice. I come before You with boldness, seeking Your mercy and grace to transform my heart. Amen.”
