Day 21: Seeking Solace in God’s Wisdom

Scripture Readings: Psalms 21, 51, 81, 111, 141; Proverbs 21

Daily Prayer: Spirit of the Living God,

As I turn to Your Word for guidance, may Your wisdom and truth guide my thoughts, words, and deeds. Teach me to walk in Your ways, and imbue my heart with Your peace and understanding.

In Psalm 21, the king rejoices in Your strength, Lord. How great is his joy in the victories You give! You have granted him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips.

Through Psalm 51, have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

From Psalm 81, sing for joy to God our strength; shout aloud to the God of Jacob! Begin the music, strike the timbrel, play the melodious harp and lyre.

In Psalm 111, I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly. Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.

Psalm 141, Lord, I call to You; come quickly to me; hear me when I call to You. Let my prayer be set before You like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

From Proverbs 21, whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity, and honor. A false witness will perish, but a careful listener will testify successfully.

Spirit of the Living God, empower me to embrace Your teachings and to live by the principles You have laid out in Your holy scriptures. Let me be a testament to Your love and grace through my actions and words.

In Your gracious and powerful name, I pray, Amen.
